LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The threat for severe weather diminishes the more the night goes on. A mid-level low will continue tracking into the state overnight through Sunday, creating the potential for more showers and storms.
The tornado threat has significantly lessened, with the threat of any severe parameter being reached now concerning that of a flash flood event.
A Flash Flood Watch has been extended until 10 a.m. Sunday and expanded to include much of southwest, west, north, northeast and parts of central Arkansas.
Saturated soils will create runoff that could lead to water collecting and pooling on roadways. Remember to “turn around, don’t drown” when coming across these flooded pathways.
