LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Hall High School in Little Rock is taking steps to make sure students are making the right choices when it comes to the internet and technology thanks to a grant.

The school hosted it’s Safe Internet Day Satellite event for students and parents.

They learned about digital safety, social media and Smart Talk; which is an interactive website for students.

It asks a series of questions about how the students will use and monitor their digital devices.

The school’s PTA president says the information is vital to students.

“Well you can make one mistake on the internet and it’s out there for good. It never goes away. Also while the internet has it’s purpose it can also be dangerous so we want to make sure that all of all children are protected and safe,” said Edith Callaway-Frazier.

Frazier says Hall High School is the only school in the state that received the $1,000 grant from PTA.

She says after students complete Smart Talk they receive a contract.
