UPDATE:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — New information comes out today about the September 17, 2019 homicide in Little Rock.
According to the affidavit released today, Leander Lamont Moore is facing charges of Murder in the First Degree. He appeared today in court, and his bond has been set at $2 million dollars.
Court records show multiple witnesses saw a male attack Reginald Moore, the victim in the front lawn.
On September 18, 2019 according to the affidavit investigators interviewed witnesses all describing the same thing. “I heard fighting outside,” “I heard gunshots,” and “I saw two men fighting.” They also described what the suspect looked like, “black male, medium skinned, low hair or bald, with stocky build.”
According to investigators they conducted a second interview with a witness who said that Reginald was playing a video game on his PlayStation 4. He then left in his black Dodge Challenger. The witness messaged Reginald on his phone and showed investigators that Reginald told the witness he was on his way home.
The witness, according to the affidavit told investigators they heard keys in the doorway, and they went to the door, looked through the peep hole and said they saw a man they didn’t know, run from the carport area behind Reginald, and the two of them started fighting. The witness told investigators they opened the door as the two were fighting in the yard, but said they saw the unknown man holding a gun, heard two gunshots, and they shut the door.
While investigators were searching the area they were able to access a doorbell camera from a house that was three houses down from where the homicide took place. According to the affidavit the doorbell camera showed on the night of the homicide, a blue Chevrolet Tahoe being driven slowly east towards the house where the homicide took place, with the passenger taillight out.
On November 25, 2019 according to the affidavit detectives conducted an interview with a different witness. This witness told investigators that they were not present during the homicide, but said they received information that Leander Moore, committed the homicide and then fled to Georgia after committing the homicide.
According to the investigation, detectives later found that Reginald had been playing “Grand Theft Auto V”, online on the date of the homicide. One of the witnesses heard that Leander committed the homicide, and looked up Leander on social media.
On December 30, 2019 detectives were given access to Reginald’s PlayStation 4. According to court records detectives located Reginald’s “Friends List,” and found Reginald was friends with a ‘Candice Moore’, who is the wife of Leander Moore.
According to the affidavit on December 31, 2019 another witness, who was with Reginald the day before the homicide came forward telling investigators that they heard Leander Moore was back in Little Rock admitting to the homicide. The witness told investigators that they heard Leander hid in the carport, and attacked Reginald after he pulled in, and shot him. The witness also told investigators that Reginald shorted Leander some money, and that was the reason Leander was there.
On January 1, 2020 detectives conducted more interview’s with the witnesses.
According to the affidavit, detectives conducted a photographic line-up with one of the witnesses that featured Leander Moore, and five other similar looking individuals. The witness selected Leander Moore as the suspect who was fighting Reginald on the date of the homicide.
On January 2, 2020 according to the affidavit detectives were able to detect Leander Moore’s blue 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe to the one that was seen on the doorbell camera earlier in the investigation.
A search warrant was then obtained for Leander’s phone records.
According to court documents the cell phone number, matching Leander’s phone records hit cellular towers near the location of the homicide at the time of the homicide. It then showed the cell hitting towers outside of Little Rock on September 18, the day after the homicide and then further east along I-40 until reaching the state of Georgia on September 19, 2019.
According to the affidavit, during the course of the investigation, Leander Moore showed to be a convicted felon. Leander was convicted of both Possession of a Counterfeit Substance without Prescription, and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons in 2018.
According to court documents with witness statements being consistent with the description of the suspect matching Leander Moore. The doorbell camera showing his car traveling towards the homicide location on the night of the homicide. Leander being identified from a photographic line-up, and his reported cellular phone number contacting the victim’s phone before the homicide. Leander’s phone showing up in the area of the homicide during the homicide, but in Georgia immediately after the homicide.
Detectives and Violent Crimes Apprehension Team of the Little Rock Police Department attempted to make contact with Leander numerous times throughout the investigation, with negative results. According to the affidavit and based on these facts, along with evidence located at the scene, and more, detectives believe a charge of Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons, and Murder in the First Degree is supported for Leander Moore.
UPDATE:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Police department has a person in custody in connection to the September 17 homicide on 700 Burton Drive.
Police say Leander Lamont Moore was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Hensley today.
Moore has been served warrants by Little Rock detectives and has been taken to the Pulaski County jail.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Little Rock Police department have identified the suspect involved in the September 17 homicide on 700 Burton Drive.
Police identify and are looking for Leander Lamont Moore who is the suspect related to the homicide.
There are two active warrants for his arrest, one for Murder in the First Degree and a second for Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons. Moore is aware of his warrants.
Moore was last seen with a thicker beard than in the picture above.
He is considered Armed and Dangerous.
Police ask if he is spotted to not approach him, but rather call 911.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police have identified a man who died after being found with gunshot wounds in the yard of a home.
The Little Rock Police Department says Reginald Moore, 29, had been wounded late Tuesday night and died early this morning.
Officers found him around 11:45 p.m. after being called to the 7000 block of Burton Drive. The neighborhood is just east of Boyle Park Road.
Police say investigators have so far determined Moore had been in a fight with another man before he was shot.
The suspect is described by police as a black male with a medium build who was wearing a dark colored shirt.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Police are investigating a deadly shooting.
Officers were called to a home on Burton Drive Tuesday night at around 11:40.
They found a man there who had been shot.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but died Wednesday morning.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
No suspect information is yet available.
