JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A Jonesboro police officer found a man beaten by two juveniles early Thursday morning, according to a police report.

According to the report, two juvenile males were beating another man at the intersection of Melrose and Self Circle shortly before 2:00 a.m. Thursday. When an officer saw the beating, the teens ran off to a driveway in the 400 block of Melrose.

As the officer checked on the victim, he learned that he was attacked while walking home with his dog. The victim said the suspects approached and started hitting him in the face. When the victim fell to the ground, the suspects began kicking the victim in the head and neck area.

The victim “advised the suspects also made the statements that they should take the dog,” the narrative read.

The responding officer was unable to get a description because the suspects were so far away.

An ambulance took the victim to St. Bernards for his injuries.
