LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Van Buren man jailed in Little Rock for Wednesday morning’s destruction of a newly-placed Ten Commandments monument on the grounds of the State Capitol has done this before.

In 2014, Michael Reed was arrested for slamming into a Ten Commandments monument at the Oklahoma state capitol.

Reed, 32, posted video on his Facebook page showing him driving a vehicle into the Arkansas monument around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday. The post contained just one word “Freedom.”

In the Oklahoma incident, the U.S. Secret Service said Reed told them that Satan made him crash his car into the statue. Reed was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. According to Oklahoma investigators, Reed said he was bipolar and had been off his medication for quite some time.
