Update: Suspect arrested in Hot Springs homicide

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – An arrest has been made in a Sept. 23 homicide.

The Hot Springs Police Department announced Wednesday afternoon that Vincent Bernard Louis, 41, had been taken into custody in the killing of Cory Gibson.

Louis is being held at the Garland County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Police have released the name of a man who was found shot to death on Monday night.

The Hot Springs Police Department issued an update on the killing Tuesday morning and identified the victim as Cory Gibson, 39.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Chapel Street.

The HSPD says its detectives have developed a person of interest and more information will be provided as soon as it is available.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Officers with the Hot Springs Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting.

Officers were called to the scene at 133 Chapel Street around 6 p.m. Monday.

That’s where they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity is not yet being released.

Detectives were interviewing witnesses at last report.
