Police Investigate after Body Found in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — Police are investigating after a body was found on Thursday morning in Fayetteville.

The Fayetteville Police Department (FPD) says the initial call came in around 8:30 a.m.

The body was found in a patch of trees near the Super 8 motel on Shiloh Drive.

An individual found the body and went to a nearby convenience store to call police about it, according to authorities.

Police say the deceased is likely a homeless individual, and no foul play is suspected at this time.
