POLICE: Victim identified in first deadly shooting in Pine Bluff of 2021

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — A man has been identified in a deadly shooting that happened Thursday night in Pine Bluff

According to police, the victim is 54-year-old Larry Williams who is a resident of Pine Bluff.

Officers said they responded to the call of a possible dead body in the 1200 block of West 29th Ave around noon Thursday.

According to investigators, the body of an adult man with possible gunshot wounds was found. Williams was pronounced dead by the deputy coroner. The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the official cause and manner of death.

This is the first homicide of 2021 in Pine Bluff.

The investigation is still ongoing.
