LAS VEGAS – Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Thursday announced a new firearms company would be bringing additional jobs to Arkansas.
The Remington Outdoor Company is planning to grow its ammunition plant in Lonoke.
The new growth is expected to generate 84 new jobs, Hutchinson said.
“Remington is a world-class company that is making another significant investment in Arkansas,” Hutchinson said. “Arkansas’ reputation as a hub for firearms and ammunition manufacturing continues to grow thanks to Remington’s decision to expand again in the state. It was a pleasure to meet with Remington’s leadership at the SHOT Show, and I look forward to continuing to work together.”
“I am proud of the continued growth and expansion we are experiencing at our Lonoke, Arkansas facility,” said Remington Outdoor Company CEO Jim Marcotuli. “Our company’s ethos of “pride and precision” is reflected in the quality ammunition our hardworking team members produce every day, and we are all looking forward to continuing this important work with the great state of Arkansas.”
Hutchinson made the announcement at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas at 4:30 p.m.
