CABOT, Ark. – According to the Pulaski County Sheriff, a tractor trailer carrying milk overturned early Friday morning. 

Reports say the highway is now open. 

Milk is not the only food substance that has been spilled along Arkansas highways in 2017. Here’s a look back at other incidents where food was involved. 

Frozen Pizza: On August 9, 2017 I-30 was littered with frozen pizzas after a tractor trailer carrying the food items crashed. 

The tractor trailer was reportedly traveling west on I-30 and hit the center support column of the bridge at the Mabelvale overpass on the southwest side of town. The bridge was not damaged in the accident.  

By 3 p.m., state highway officials said westbound traffic was using the outside shoulder to pass the cleanup site and all eastbound lanes had reopened.

Chicken Parts: A truck full of chicken parts spilled all over Highway 71B in Bethel Heights earlier this year. 

The official report states the Simmons Foods truck driver hit the brakes too hard, spilling chicken guts all over the road stretching 150 yards wide.

The spill temporarily shutdown both lanes of traffic near Apple Blossom Avenue.

Lowell Fire and Bethel Heights Police cleaned up the mess by raking the guts off the road and into drums.

Spaghetti Sauce: On August 22, 2017 a truck driver spilled spaghetti sauce near the intersection of Arkansas 24 and U.S. 278. 

Camden Police Department Sgt. Cory Sanders said the driver became distracted by his GPS device, overcorrected and hit the grass median, causing the truck to overturn.
