NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the North Little Rock School District said a middle school was evacuated Tuesday after reports of students and teachers becoming nauseous and dizzy.
Crews with the North Little Rock Fire Department detected the issue in a classroom on the seventh and eighth-grade campus. According to a social media post from the district, all students from the campus were being evacuated.
District officials said the students were being relocated to Charging Wildcat Arena on the campus of North Little Rock High School.

In a statement sent late Tuesday afternoon, NLRSD officials said that fire crews responded to a call from the school about students and teachers in some classrooms feeling nauseated and dizzy.
According to district officials, NLRFD hazmat crews also responded to the call to test the air quality.
School officials said that they will continue to work with the fire department and maintenance staff regarding the incident.
In a statement Tuesday evening, NLRSD officials said that the seventh and eighth-grade campuses would be remote on Wednesday as fire crews and district officials work to find the cause of the odor in one of the classrooms.
