Thieves Grab $22K in Laptops, Phones at LR Apple Store

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police are on the trail of a group of thieves who grabbed more than $22,000 in merchandise from the Apple Store on Chenal Parkway over the weekend.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. Saturday when police say four to six suspects stacked up laptops and cell phones off display tables from the business inside the Promenade at Chenal.

The police report states that the suspects also ripped out security system cables before they ran to a parking lot behind the store and drove away. Store workers reported finding one laptop and one cell phone that were dropped by the suspects as they ran out.

The store listed the following merchandise that was stolen:

  • 75 iPhones worth $16,200
  • 7 MacBook PR Laptops worth $4,995
  • 7 MacBook A1 Laptops worth $999
  • 7 iPad Mini Tablets worth $399

The report also notes video footage of the incident was being given to police and that investigators collected fingerprint evidence from the scene.
