Update: Two men shot in Little Rock during argument

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – New details have been released about a Wednesday night shooting on the city’s west side.

The Little Rock Police Department reports two men suffered gunshot wounds in the incident believed to have taken place at Governor’s Park Apartments on West Capitol Avenue.

Officers were called there around 7:30 and reported finding a crime scene at apartment 315. The police report notes that the front door was found open and there was blood on the floor but no one was found inside.

Police later learned that Donnell Thomas, 34, of Jacksonville and Marquelle Hopkins, 32, of Little Rock, had argued before shots were fired. Thomas was found with a gunshot wound to the arm across the street at another apartment complex and Hopkins had driven himself to the ER at Baptist for treatment of a gunshot wound to the face. He told police Thomas had shot him.

There’s no further word on either man’s condition and no charges have yet been filed.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A man is found critically injured and another man is also hurt after police responded to separate calls near Rodney Parham and Interstate 630.

Both were shot.

The names of the two have not been released.

Police were called to a disturbance in the 7800 block of West Capitol Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

There they found the critically injured man covered in blood.
A short time later, a man was found with a gunshot wound to his arm a couple of blocks away in the 800 block of Rodney Parham.

Police believe the calls are related.

The investigation is continuing.
