Update: Second suspect arrested in connection to Hot Springs double shooting

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.- 

On May 12th 2019, the Hot Springs Police Department responded to Lily Ruth Court in reference to a shooting. It was discovered that Donald King (50) and Donyell King (23) had been shot. Donyell King died of his injuries a short time later at a local hospital.

On May 19, 2019, Tommy Woodfork III (18) of Malvern was arrested by the Benton Police Department and transported to Hot Springs to face charges of Murder in the First Degree, Terroristic Act, and Battery in the First Degree.

Woodfork is currently being held in the Garland County Detention Center on a zero bond.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.- One suspect is arrested and another is wanted in connection to a double shooting that injured one man and killed his son. 

On Friday, Hot Springs Police say Kaylen Burks, 23 of Malvern, was arrested. 

Burks faces Murder in the First Degree (Accomplice), Terroristic Act (Accomplice) and First Degree Battery charges. Burks is being held in the Garland County Detention Center on no bond.  

Officials say they need the public’s help finding Tommy Eddie Woodfork III, 18 of Malvern. 

Woodfork is wanted for First Degree Murder, Terroristic Act and First Degree Battery charges. 

Police say Woodfork should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Woodfork or know where he may be, call 911.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — A son is dead and his father injured after a shooting Sunday night in Hot Springs.

Officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to Lily Ruth Court at 11:47 p.m. in reference to a shots fired call. 

According to a news release, officers found two gunshot victims, Donald King, 50, and Donyell King, 23, both of Hot Springs. Both father and son were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Donyell King was pronounced dead at the hospital. His father, Donald King, was listed in serious condition at last report. Detectives are following several leads.
