AVILLA, Ark. – An historic Saline County church has been destroyed by fire.

Officials say it was reported just after 4 a.m. Monday.

“We got word this morning that Zion Lutheran Church in Avilla, Arkansas lost their old church building that was being used for their church office and food pantry ministry to a fire. Please say a prayer for their pastor and congregation,” read another Facebook post by the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Mid-South District.
