Lonoke County police officer faces charges

AUSTIN, Ark. (KARK/Fox16) – A police officer is now facing charges.

Officer Jeremy Covington is accused of harassment and misusing a criminal database.

Covington was booked into the Lonoke County Jail.

Austin Police Chief, Rick Anderson, says he got a complaint from a resident. That complaint then began an internal investigation.

Covington faces several felony charges, including harassment and stalking.
