LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Little Rock high school principal has been placed on administrative leave.
According to officials, McClellan High School Principal, Patricia Ellis-Brunston has been placed on administrative leave following an arrest for domestic battery involving two children.
Ellis-Brunston was arrested last month after two boys, ages five and eight, were found with bruises.
The boys claim they were whipped with a belt for bad behavior.
As of now, Ellis-Brunston has pleaded not guilty to second degree domestic battery and is due back in court later this month. An LRSD spokesperson says an interim principal has been placed in charge.
This comes just one day after Little Rock School District announced that McClellan’s Assistant Principal, Keith Hearnsberger, was placed on administrative leave.
