LR Store Robbed by Man with 2-Foot Knife

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A man is in jail after police say he had armed himself with a 2-foot-long knife when he robbed a local store.

It happened around 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Dollar General in the 7700 block of Colonel Glenn Road.

The suspect is identified as Canaan Aldridge, 19, of Little Rock.

Police say Aldridge was caught at 40th and Gilman streets and matched the description of the suspect seen on surveillance video. 

At the time of his arrest, Aldridge was also served with an active robbery warrant by the Little Rock Police Department in another holdup. 

He is charged with aggravated robbery and felony theft of property in the Saturday incident.

His booking record at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility notes six charges of aggravated robbery and five charges of theft of property.
