LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local police officer involved in a deadly shooting of a suspect last week has been relieved of duty.

The Little Rock Police Department confirms that Officer Charles Starks has surrendered his badge and gun but is still on the payroll as the investigation continues.

Starks was originally put on paid-administrative leave Friday pending the investigation, which had allowed him to keep his badge and gun.
