LRPD: Person injured in shooting near UA Little Rock early Friday


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An early morning shooting has left one person critically injured.

Police say three young women were driving on Fair Park when someone started shooting at them from another car. The driver said that she thought it was fireworks at first but then she saw that the shooter kept firing from different angles.

The Little Rock Police Department says officers were called to the scene in the 3200 block of Fair Park just before 3.

One women was shot in the back and leg. Her medical status is critical, but she is expected to survive.

The scene is not far from the UA Little Rock campus.
