BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — A search is underway for a suspect who covered his face with a mask when he robbed two local stores over the weekend.

The Bentonville Police Department says he struck first at the Kum & Go gas station at 800 SE J St. around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday and then targeted the Dollar General Store at 2107 S. Walton Blvd. just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say the suspect in both robberies wore dark clothing and a black ski mask with a white skull on it. Though the suspect said he had a gun, he never showed it, authorities say, adding that he ran away from the scene of both robberies.

Anyone with information on his identity is encouraged to call the Bentonville Police Department at (479) 271-3170.
