Mayor, city board to discuss finding funds to hire more LRPD officers

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock City Board is meeting with Mayor Frank Scott Jr. Tuesday afternoon to discuss finding money in the city’s budget to hire an additional 25 Little Rock police officers this year.

During Mayor Scott’s campaign, he promised to make efforts in hiring 100 more officers in the next few years to the Little Rock Police Department.
