Mayors near Mississippi River ask for more federal support for flood prevention and recovery

WASHINGTON- It’s only March, and the Mississippi River Corridor has already sustained significant flooding.  

Communities along the river fear this may a catastrophic spring flood season.

Mississippi River Mayors are in Washington, D.C., this week to lobby Congress and make their case to the White House.  

In the clip above, Washington, D.C. correspondent Drew Petrimoulx reports the mayors are pitching for more federal support for the region—for flood prevention and resilience and recovery after the flood waters recede.
