Military families reunite after returning home from deployment in Kuwait

News

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Life apart is a reality for countless military families in Arkansas and across the country.

Today, some joyous moments at Clinton National Airport.

A number of airmen and women returned home today from deployment in Kuwait.

For many military families, this is nothing new.

But for Dionna Schmidle, it’s a first for her, her husband and their three kids.

Sometimes, you have to get out of the way and just let their stories tell themselves.

“Oh, I’m so proud of my husband, of my friend’s husband. I could not ask for anything better. I stand behind him 100 percent. I love our country, I love my husband even more,” says Dionna Schmidle.

“I missed you..oh my God..my babies, my babies.”

Master Sergeant Schmidle’s son Parker says his mission now is to take dad to Dave and Busters.
