LITTLE ROCK, AR – A mistrial has been declared in the case of a local man charged with murder in a road rage incident.

According to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette (ADG), it happened this morning after a jury deliberating for a second day said it could not reach a verdict in the trial of Chris Schnarr, 29.

He was charged in the May 2013 shooting death of Arista Aldridge, 45. According to the police report on the incident, Aldridge put his finger in Schnarr’s face during an argument on 6th St. near the intersection of Ferry Street in downtown Little Rock.

Schnarr testified in his own defense on Thursday. The ADG reported he told jurors he only shot at Aldridge after he came toward him, despite Schnarr’s pleas for him to leave.
