Nepal Earthquake Victim has Ties to Arkansas

JORDAN, AR — An earthquake struck Nepal Saturday, killing nearly 2,000 people across four countries.

One of the victims in the earthquake had ties to Arkansas.

According to the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, Dan Fredinburg, an executive with Google was a member of the 1999 class.

Fredinburg was from Jordan, Arkansas.

He died after suffering injuries in an avalanche on Mount Everest caused by the earthquake.
