PCSSD Staffer Called Hero for Saving Student’s Life

News

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – An IT staffer within the Pulaski County School District is being called a hero for saving a student’s life.

Jasper Llewellyn has been awarded the rare “Superintendent’s Hero Award” this week.

Interim Superintendent Dr. Janice Warren applauded Llewellyn’s quick action when he notice a student searching online for specific ways to commit suicide.

Within minutes he traced the I-P address, saw the student was at home, and immediately notified administrators, who called the child’s parents and police to intervene.

Dr. Janice Warren, PCSSD Interim Superintendent says, “I certainly believe that because of what jasper did that this student is still with us today.”

The Superintendent’s Hero Award has only been presented five times in the last decade.
