NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police have released the name of a pedestrian who died in a hit and run accident over the weekend.

The victim has been identified as Dale Council, 54.

The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) says he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had previously worked for the Veterans Administration.

Police say Council did not have any family in Arkansas but his family in North Carolina was notified of his death.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Local police are looking for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit and run accident late Saturday night.

The North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) says it happened around 10:30 in the area of Camp Robinson Road and Larkspur Lane. The scene is east of the Amboy neighborhood.

The man who was hit died after being taken to Baptist Springhill. The body has been sent to the State Crime Lab for identification and autopsy.

Police say the vehicle that was possibly involved in this incident appears to be a dark colored passenger car (possibly 4 door) with front end damage.
