MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Tents are taking over Memphis for the 42nd annual World Championship Barbecue Cooking competition.
Two-hundred-fifty teams are getting their booths ready for Wednesday. Among them are some of Arkansas’ finest.
To mention a couple, Whole Hog Cafe has ranked in years past and Delta Porkers in Marion will be making a return for a top spot.
“You’ll see the park is elbow to elbow in here,” says Robert Griffin with Memphis in May. “So, there’s a whole lot of teams going on, a whole lot of construction going on and not a lot of room for much else.”
“One of my favorite weeks of all year,” says Austin Brown with Swine and Dine. “To be honest with you, it’s like Christmas in May for me.”
