Rain and storms continue for the end of the week. Flash Flooding will be possible and a few stronger storms can’t be ruled out.
Showers and storms will be with us for the start of the day on Thursday and will continue into Thursday afternoon. Heavy rain is possible across portions of the state and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 7 pm Thursday for Western Arkansas. A strong to severe storm can’t be ruled out for the afternoon, mainly to the east, with a Marginal Risk for severe storms indicated by the Storm Prediction Center. Gusty winds and large hail would be the main concerns. More rain and thunderstorms will be possible on Friday with a lower severe weather threat. Rain will linger into the first half of the day on Saturday, with clearing Saturday night as the front pushes eastward. Quiet weather will finally be with us for the start of next week.
