Report: Cause of Death Revealed for Missing Walnut Ridge Teen

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR — The cause of death for Sidney Randall, the 14-year-old Walnut Ridge girl who went missing in March, has been released.

According to a report from KAIT, the medical examiner’s office and Arkansas State Police say the teen died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Randall was last seen on March 9 leaving her house with her stepfather, John Cornell, who was later found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The teenager was found in the Black River by a fisherman on May 18.
