PEA RIDGE, Ark. (KNWA) – The Pea Ridge Police Department has released the toxicology reports of the man who says he fell asleep at the wheel when he hit eight children and their teachers in July.

“Due to the results of the accident, the driver is not being criminally charged due to the results not reflecting any controlled substance that would have impaired his ability to operate a vehicle safely,” the news release states.

However,  the man was issued traffic citations Wednesday morning for Careless/Prohibited Driving and Driving Left of Center, according to the news release.
