LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The organizers of Riverfest announced the musical festival will not return for the 2019 season.
Universal Fairs, the events and management company that helped revive the long-time Arkansas tradition, says Riverfest will be taking a year off to reorganize and re-invent the festival.
Organizers say they were grateful for all the people who attended Riverfest in 2018, and they can not wait to give a better experience in 2020.
Riverfest is Arkansas’s largest outdoor music festival. In 2017, Riverfest organizers suspended operations after four decades, citing high costs and lack of attendance. Universal Fairs bough the rights to the festival and helf the festival on Memorial Day weekend in 2018.
