SEARCY, Ark. – Searcy Arkansas has been named among the Top 10 towns in the running for a half-million-dollar transformation and a starring role in a hit reality series called Small Business Revolution – Main Street.
In fact, Searcy was selected from nearly 12,000 nominations to make it to the final 10.
This month, the Deluxe team is hitting the road to visit all Top 10 towns. To kick off the visit to Searcy, the Small Business Revolution team is attending a community-wide welcome event on January 17.
The event will take place at Robbins Sanford Grand Hall located at 118 North Spring Street from 6-7:30 p.m.
Each year, Small Business Revolution – Main Street gives one lucky small town and its small businesses a $500,000 makeover. The program was created by Deluxe Corporation, whose marketing experts, along with a series of other high-profile industry experts, help make over the winning town’s small businesses. The series is co-hosted by Deluxe’s own Amanda Brinkman, along with Ty Pennington, the makeover icon known for other shows like Trading Spaces and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
“We have had such an incredible response from communities across the country wanting to be featured in season 4,” Brinkman said. “Nearly 12,000 nominations poured in this year and fans of small businesses flooded our social media pages with posts about favorite local business.
“The public has really embraced our mission of empowering communities to celebrate their unique gifts and to be proud of what they can accomplish together. Only one town can win the Small Business Revolution – Main Street each year, but this movement is truly about having small businesses and towns come together to remember what makes them so special,” Brinkman continued.
Deluxe team members will travel to each of the 10 communities to meet civic and business leaders, community members, interview business owners and learn more about how marketing expertise and the Small Business Revolution can benefit each community. From there, Deluxe will narrow the list to five towns that the public will vote on mid-February to determine the winner. The towns represent a cross-section of American life:
Cañon City, Colorado
Marinette, Wisconsin/Menominee, Michigan
Pageland, South Carolina
Washington, North Carolina
