LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) focused on family and UAMS on Friday.
The senator, along with his wife and their two kids, toured the NICU Friday, learning about the latest advancements in medicine and technology.
“UAMS’s NICU has been a pioneer in advanced technology, like the ‘Angel Light’ technology,” says Sen. Cotton. “So every bed has a camera, so for those parents who are coming from farther corners of the state, they can actually see their child if they can’t be here with them 24/7. They have telemedicine to help serve mothers and children from around every corner of the state, and it’s just personally something that we care a lot about as well.”
The family also spent time with other parents to offer support and advice.
The Cotton family then went to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where they got an up-close look at Angel One, the hospital’s medical helicopter.
