Sherwood Police Looking for Holiday Thieves Who Park in Handicapped Spaces

SHERWOOD, Ark. – We’re now one week away from Christmas. In Sherwood, police want to make sure the Grinch doesn’t steal your holiday.

They’re out patrolling parking lots, and focusing on all crimes, but most recently those looking for a good parking spot in the handicapped area.

After spotting several drivers doing that, they’ve made several arrests.

“Someone parked in it, he spoke with them, asked if they had a handicapped placard, they didn’t, come to find out the person has a warrant out for their arrest,” says Sgt. Keith Wilson.

Not only are they patrolling for that, right now they say they have had no car break-ins, or purse snatchings all season.
