MAUMELLE, Ark. – Two bald eagles were found dead near the north side of Lake Maumelle on Wednesday by two Central Arkansas Water employees, according to the Arkansas Wildlife Officers Associaton.
Senior Corporal Robbie Stout says both eagles were found about 30 yards from the waterline and about 150 yards apart.
No eagle nests were found in the area.
The carcasses were turned over to Dr. Jen Ballard for a necropsy to investigate the cause of death.
