Crossett pilot slightly injured when plane flips

CROSSETT, Ark. – A local pilot is recovering after being injured in the crash of a small plane.

It happened around 9 a.m. Monday, reports our content partner MonticelloLive.

The 1965 CESSNA 182H fixed wing single engine (4 seats) plane crashed at the Crossett airport, best known as Jack Stell Field.

The pilot and plane owner, Jerry Ozment of Crossett, suffered minor injuries as the plane flipped and skidded into a grassy area near the runway.

Law enforcement, firefighters, and Pro-Med ambulance responded to the scene.

MonticelloLive says sources report that the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the incident and will soon begin an investigation.
