Deputies: One in Custody After Man Shot in Prairie Grove

PRAIRIE GROVE, Ark. (KNWA) – A man with gunshot wounds was taken to a hospital and one person is in custody Tuesday afternoon after a shooting in Prairie Grove.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a victim with a gunshot wound at a home around 3:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Meade Ave in Lincoln.

Central EMS transported a man in his 50’s to Washington Regional Hospital from the Lincoln home, according to Kelly Cantrell, spokesperson for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The EMS official did not describe the extent of the man’s injuries.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office determined the shooting actually happened at near the 16000 block of East Applehill Road in Prairie Grove.

After deputies arrived on the scene in Prairie Grove, they took one person into custody.
