JONESBORO, Ark. - A juvenile was shot in the foot during a reported argument on Thursday, according to the Jonesboro Police Department.
Officers were called to the 200 block of Walnut Street around 11:30 p.m. in regards to the disturbance.
When officers spoke with the victim and witnesses, they learned that two adults who live on the street had been arguing. The news release states that the adults called individuals over to their homes and the two groups began to argue in the street. As a fight was about to break out a handgun was fired and the individuals ran from the area.
The juvenile received medical treatment from responding officers and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police say the injury was not life threatening.
Detectives collected evidence and statements from witnesses. No arrests have been made at this time, authorities say.
