Update: Victim Dies Day after Jonesboro Shooting

JONESBORO, Ark. – A man who was shot Wednesday night has died.

The Jonesboro Police Department says Devontae Dewayne Fowler, 20, of Jonesboro, had been placed on life support after suffering a traumatic brain injury.

Police say Fowler was removed from life support around 6 p.m. Thursday and was pronounced dead about five hours later.

Detectives are now considering this case a homicide investigation and are working to identify a suspect.

JONESBORO, Ark. – A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after a Wednesday night shooting. 

Jonesboro Police were called around 8:15 p.m. to the 800 block of South Caraway Rd., where the victim was found with a gunshot wound described as serious.

The shooting victim was later identified as Devontae Dewayne Fowler, of Jonesboro, according to Jonesboro Police. He was hospitalized in critical condition at last report. 

Police say the incident is still under investigation, and no arrest has yet been made.

JONESBORO, Ark. – Police say a man is in critical condition after a shooting.

It happened in the 800 block of South Caraway Rd. around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. 

The man victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.

No arrest has yet been made.
