Teen arrested in connection to shooting death of 15-year-old in West Memphis

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC)- West Memphis detectives arrested a 14-year-old in connection with the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.

The shooting took place at SteepleChase Apartments in West Memphis, Arkansas around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

West Memphis Mayor Marco McClendon confirmed that a 15-year-old was shot and killed Wednesday night.

Officers found the deceased teen inside one of the apartments.

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with Murder in the second degree.

Laquincia Marshall, 18, also lived at the apartment.

She provided detectives with false information and was arrested her for a felony count of Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution.
