MALVERN, Ark. — All the dogs at the Malvern Animal Shelter need new homes by Friday or they could be euthanized.
The animal shelter announced it will temporarily close by April 26 due to a staffing issue.
The city is pushing for all the pets to get adopted or fostered before then.
According to a Facebook post by the Malvern Police Department, the shelter will be closed for two weeks. It went on to explain during that time, the shelter will only take in dogs considered vicious.
Malvern’s Shelter is a kill-shelter but animal control says it hasn’t euthanized dogs in recent years thanks to non-profits helping rescue the pets.
