Texas Truck Driver Dies When Big Rig Strikes Arkansas Bridge

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Texas truck driver has died after his big rig struck a bridge rail in Arkansas.

It happened Monday morning around 2:45 in Little River County.

The Arkansas State Police accident report states that the driver of a 2014 Kenworth was headed north on Highway 41 when the vehicle hit a northbound bridge rail, crossed the lanes of traffic and struck a southbound bridge rail.

The victim is identified as Winston Anthony Wright, 47, of Kaufman, Texas.

The report notes that road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident.
