Tornado Confirmed This Morning, Cold Blast Tonight


Multiple reports of wind damage in Arkansas Thursday morning as a strong cold front swept through the State. One tornado was confirmed in Northern Arkansas just South of Yellville in Marion County. The tornado touched down just before 5 AM and has a preliminary rating of EF-1. 

Much colder air is blasting in behind the front with a return to a very Wintry feel. Temperatures will drop below freezing by late this evening with wind chills falling into the 20s. Most roads will dry before then, but any leftover wet spots will turn icy. Use caution of you see any wet spots on the roads overnight. Low temperatures Friday morning dropping in the the low 20s with teens North. gusty winds will push wind chills into the 10s with single digits North.
