Two dead Following Shooting in Pope County Friday Night


CAGLESVILLE, AR — Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall identified two individuals involved in the Friday night shooting in Caglesville as 44-year-old Donna Lott and 45-year-old Jimmy Lott.

Authorities are now saying appears to have been a murder-suicide.

Sheriff Duvall stated to River Valley Leader Saturday morning, “Current indications are Donna Lott was the victim of a gunshot wound that took her life.”

The body of 46-year old Jimmy Lott was also discovered at the residence on Caglesville Lane.

The investigation is continuing.

CAGLESVILLE, AR — A man and a woman are dead after a shooting in Pope County.

It happened in Caglesville around 8:00 p.m. Friday night.

The names of the male and female who died have not been released.

According to KLRT Content Partner River Valley Leader, emergency responders had to wait for the scene to be secured after they were called to the home on Caglesville Lane.

Around 10:35 p.m.,River Valley Leader received an update from Sheriff Duvall who stated, “Investigator’s with the Pope County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police remain on scene continuing their investigation.

Although there are two fatalities involved in this shooting, at this time, the identities of the male and female will not be released pending the notification of next-of-kin.”
