Update: 10-year-old cancer patient who faces cancer setback finishes radiation

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Central Arkansas boy who’s been in the hospital for more than a year, had a big reason to celebrate Monday. 

Cell phone video shows 10-year-old Max Boyce ringing the bell at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, after finishing his last round of radiation. 

Max was diagnosised with leukemia a year ago, but a complication with chemotherapy has kept him in the hospital since then. 

Recently, Max learned his cancer spread to behind his eye requiring another round of radiation. 

Max still doesn’t have an exact date for when he can go home, but his parents say they’re grateful to celebrate each milestone as they come.
