Update:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Four suspects are now charged in the deadly July 2017 shooting of local teen Cyncere Alexander.

The Little Rock Police Department confirmed the arrests in a Thursday afternoon news release.

They are Tyler Jackson, 19, of Conway; Machita Mitchell, 42, of Little Rock; Kenwan Sherrod, 21, of Little Rock, and Keterrioun Chandler, 20, of North Little Rock.

The LRPD says the arrest warrants were issued on Wednesday in the nearly year-long investigation.

Police say Chandler turned himself in late Wednesday night and the other three suspects were already in custody at the Pulaski County Jail on unrelated charges. One of them, Jackson, is charged in last year’s mass shooting at the Power Ultra Lounge that left 28 people injured.

Mitchell’s jail record shows he was arrested on July 5, 2017 and jail records show he was in jail when Alexander was murdered. He faces a string of charges that include: Witness Bribery, Contempt of Court, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs & Firearms, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Maintaining a Drug Premises Near a Drug Free Zone, other drug charges and a hold for U.S. Marshal.

Sherrod’s jail record shows he was arrested on May 10, 2018 on a Hold for U.S. Marshal with a directive to return him to Mason, Tenn.
