Update: 7 People Displaced After LR Townhouse Fire, Officials Say

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Officials say seven people are without a home after a fire Wednesday afternoon at Sturbridge Townhouses. 

Officials say the fire started around 2 Wednesday afternoon at 1400 Old Forge Dr., near Rodney Parham.

Authorities say three units are destroyed. Fox16 was originally told that one unit was burned, and three others were damaged.

Fox16 was originally told up to 16 people were displaced. After further investigation, officials say seven people are displaced. 

Firefighters say when they arrived at the townhouses, flames were shooting through the windows. 

Witnesses say they heard a boom

At this time, officials are not sure what caused the fire. 

No injuries were reported.

Crews were able to rescue a small dog. 

Little Rock firefighters were called to Sturbridge Townhouses in December 2018, where a man died due to a fire in his apartment. 

In January 2017, 15 people lost their home after a fire sparked.
