Update (July 19):
LITTLE ROCK, AR – A former officer with the Little Rock Police Department has been found guilty this morning on one count in his federal drug trial.

A mistrial was declared on the other three counts filed against Randall Robinson.

Original story (July 18):
LITTLE ROCK, AR — A former Little Rock police officer is still awaiting his fate on federal drug charges.

The jury in the Randall Robinson case spent a second full day deliberating a 16-count indictment on Thursday.

Prosecutors say Robinson knowingly escorted what he believed were drug shipments through Little Rock while he was on duty and in uniform with LRPD.

Robinson resigned from the force shortly after the charges became public in May 2012.

Mark Jones, another former officer, pleaded guilty to similar charges last month.
